GLASS REPAIR
33 Arch Street
Afflicted with sporadic glass failures, A & A Window Products, Inc. was hired to replace multiple insulated glass units in various locations at the 33 Arch St building. The 33-story building, located in downtown Boston, was built with an outside glazed curtain wall system requiring the work to be done from the exterior. The existing rig to access the building facade was inoperable which required A & A to supply swing staging to access the failed glass units. With multiple locations involved, careful coordination was required with the tenants that were affected. Existing failed units were removed and replaced to match the original specifications of the project for both detail and aesthetics.
Service Overview
Glass and glazing systems in commercial and institutional buildings deteriorate over time — gaskets fail, sealants crack, insulated glass units fog, curtain wall components wear out, and broken glass creates immediate safety and security concerns. When these conditions go unaddressed, the result is water infiltration, energy loss, tenant disruption, and progressive damage to the building envelope.
A & A Window Products provides commercial glass and glazing repair services for building owners, property managers, facilities teams, and institutions across New England. With extensive experience repairing curtain wall systems, storefronts, and facade assemblies on some of Boston’s most prominent and logistically demanding buildings, our team brings the diagnostic capability, access equipment, and field expertise to resolve repair conditions efficiently and correctly.

Why A&A Window Products
Proven on Boston's Most Recognized Buildings
A & A has performed glass and glazing repair at TD Garden, the Hynes Convention Center, Government Center Parking Garage, Northeastern University's Marino Center, MIT, and 33 Arch Street — a roster of high-profile, logistically demanding projects that reflects the depth of our repair experience across institutional, civic, and commercial building types.
Off-Hours & Restricted Access Expertise
Many of our most complex repair projects have been executed under severe time and access constraints — four-hour overnight windows at Government Center, night-only work at the Hynes Convention Center, and weather-dependent scheduling adjustments at MIT. Our project managers and field crews are experienced at planning and executing repair work within the operational realities of active buildings.
Glass Matching Capability
When original glazing specifications are unavailable — as was the case at TD Garden — A & A works with designers and suppliers to identify and source matching glass, ensuring repairs are consistent with the existing building appearance and system performance.
Access Equipment & Safe Staging
High-rise and large-format glazing repair requires the right equipment and a crew experienced in using it safely. A & A maintains swing staging capability and has experience specifying and coordinating hydraulic mast-climbing platforms, pipe staging, and specialty rigging for facade access in dense urban environments.
Typical Applications
- High-rise commercial office towers with curtain wall system deterioration
- Institutional and university buildings with aging facade assemblies
- Civic, convention, and public-use facilities requiring off-hours repair coordination
- Occupied buildings where glazing repair must be sequenced around tenant operations
- Buildings where original glazing specifications are unavailable and glass matching is required
- Post-storm or post-impact broken glass repair in commercial and institutional settings
- Buildings requiring specialty access equipment for high-rise or difficult facade locations
