PROJECT SPOTLIGHT – Lowell City Hall
Serving as the general contractor, A & A Window Products, Inc. furnished and installed 250 aluminum windows with historic integrity. After reviewing numerous options for partial repair or replacement with CBI Consulting Inc. and the City of Lowell, it was determined that the most cost effective and historically-appropriate option was a hybrid solution; replacing the sash with a historical aluminum window with break metal sills. In addition, the exterior wood trim was to be repaired with epoxy and a Dutchmen method, then painted. The job went off without a hitch in the summer of 2013 all leading to a wonderful letter of recommendation.
