GLASS REPLACEMENT – Avalon at Prudential
A & A Window Products, Inc. installed over 7,500 punched windows and terrace doors manufactured by Skyline Windows in downtown Boston. The building houses some of the most desirable apartments in Boston, and was fully occupied while the work was being performed. We worked closely with the general contractor and owner to coordinate Our large fabrication and storage facility, located just 6 miles from Boston, minimized the costs related to having a site with no on-site storage available. With our nightly delivery of the window scheduled for replacement and subsequent removal of the old windows, impact on occupants was minimized.minimum impact on the tenants and adhered to a very rigid schedule. A & A also replaced ground floor curtain wall openings, and new entrances at the AVA building. Under a separate project, we replaced all of the window wall systems in the penthouse, which included new terrace and sliding glass doors as well as replacement of several three season glass enclosures on the top story of this high rise.
A & A Window Products was subcontracted by Jones Lang LaSalle Construction to replace approximately 3500 windows at 99 High Street with minimal disruption to the building’s occupants. Over a three-year period, A & A Window Products worked at night, closely coordinating with the CM, masonry subcontractor, and building staff to accomplish this goal.
Our union installation mechanics started their work day after the building occupants ended theirs. The scheduled openings were replaced before the tenants returned, minimizing interruptions to the tenants.
